Hello :Can someone tell me if Deer & Company still has the Rops program where they will let you have the rops for what it cost John Deere ? I found it on the net . It was by all the major tractor companys .Trying to get rops on all of the older tractors .If any one could help with this or where the best place is to get a rops it would help a lot . Its for my father in law . He has a 2840 Jd and needs one bad . If something bad can happen it will happen to him . Thanks Pete kildow

Your best bet is to call your closest JD dealer and ask for the price on the ROPS for the model your dad has. They sell them at dealer cost, as you mentioned. I recently bought a '81 JD 750. The original owner had removed the ROPS (can you believe it??) so I am going to have to get one to replace it. The dealer quoted me a price of $275 for one to fit it. ....
